Thank you for your response. Let me clarify my questions. Your
email did not provide me with the information that I am seeking. I am
requesting- directly- to know the following:
1. Would- is- Alderman Smith in support of an extension of Lakeshore
drive?
2. Has Alderman Smith been in contact with the Friends of the Parks
organization concerning efforts on the NORTH section of Lakeshore drive?
3. Is Alderman Smith a supporter of any sort of landfill to increase
park space in her ward?
4. How is Alderman Smith working to get the word out to her
constituents that an effort is currently underway?

Dear Private Edgewater resident,
The potential exstention of the lakefront park system, and the
potential expansion of LSD, has been under periodic discussion since
1957, when the extension to Hollywood was completed.
Some of the proposals would be splendid, some would be catastophic.
Any realistic proposal, today, would face very significant financial
and environmental hurdles.
We have no objection to people dreaming of something better, and
engaging in a process to share those ideas with others and to gage
their reaction. That is what appears to be underway now. And who
knows- maybe out of that dialogue will come good ideas that everyone
agrees with. But right now, it's just a dialogue.
