Privilege
No doubt, it is a privilege to live in a world class city like Chicago on the lake shore. That privilege is affordable in Edgewater and definitely not out of reach. (a fraction of what one would pay downtown Chicago) Many have never realized what a hidden treasure Edgewater really is.
At some level, it would seem that the FOTP is using envy in their lobbying tactics, like a tool, sort of like pitting siblings against each other. It seems that the FOTP has basically been going to other neighboring communities and saying "look what they have in Edgewater and don't deserve". Take note where some of their meetings to rally support have been held.
